NATIONAL PARK & NORTHERN LIGHTS
Not a single human being in the history of the world has been let down by what Iceland has to offer in the nature and landscape department. We assure you that our surroundings will not let you down. In fact the area is often referred to as "Iceland in a nutshell" because here you can find everything that attracts the average landscape-lover to this country. The Freezer is perfectly placed for viewing the crown jewel of West Iceland, Snæfellsjökull glacier. The national park, named after the glacier, is right on our doorstep. Within it you will find many different lava fields, volcanic craters (one of which you can drive into!), hiking trails, beautiful beaches, waterfalls, mountains to climb, caves to explore (We recommend trying the guided tour of Vatnshellir cave. It's a must see), excellent viewpoints and a plethora of other fascinating places to see.
THE WINTER-HOME OF NORTHERN LiGHTS
In winter The Freezer is regularly exposed to the infamous Northern Lights (aurora borealis) and they can frequently be seen from our dootstep. Don't forget your cameras, warm clothes and snow boots for those all-night photoshoots.
